EDUCATION THROUGH SPORT
The Mont-Olivet school distinguishes itself from other institutions with its holistic approach to education, aimed at developing students not only intellectually but also in their emotional, social, creative, physical, and spiritual dimensions.
The founding values of Mont-Olivet School – respect, kindness, self-confidence, friendship, and self-improvement – are embedded in sports, a school of life. By making education through sport one of its educational pillars, Mont-Olivet School sets itself apart. Sport is a powerful educational tool that shapes character, teaches respect for rules and others, and develops personal discipline. It fosters behaviors such as perseverance, solidarity, and leadership that can be applied well beyond the playing field.
Mont-Olivet School believes that education through sport is a remarkable way to instill values and skills like respect and kindness, ensuring that each student feels safe, accepted, and confident. A student who believes in themselves is indeed better prepared to learn.
JUDO
Partnership with the Swiss Judo and Ju-Jitsu Federation
Mont-Olivet School is currently the only private school in the world to integrate judo into its school sports program, from kindergarten to grade 11S. Since the 2022 school year, Mont-Olivet School has established a long-term partnership with the Swiss Judo and Ju-Jitsu Federation, focusing on two main areas:
1. Teaching Judo in the School Sports Curriculum
From kindergarten to grade 11S (self-defense included from grade 8P to 11S), taught jointly with the sports instructors.
2. Creation of a Judo Club
Mont-Olivet Judo, open to both our students and external participants.
This exceptional educational initiative is supported by the President of the Swiss Judo and Ju-Jitsu Federation, Mr. Sergei Aschwanden, who won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, a silver medal at the World Championships in Osaka in 2003, and a bronze medal at the World Championships in Munich in 2001.
Judo lessons are given by a certified judo instructor with forty years of experience.

TENNIS
Mont-Olivet School created a tennis school in September 2023
Playing tennis develops and improves coordination, spatial awareness, and body consciousness for each individual. Students learn tennis at their own pace with personalized guidance and equipment specially suited to their age group.
Whether played in singles or doubles, tennis has an important social aspect by building connections with playing partners, which also encourages mutual respect, fair play, and self-confidence.
